How to spot termite damage

It is quite hard to notice termite damage in US as the termites in United States are far less aggressive than the termites who live in South Africa. Usually you can spot the damage when it’s extensive, but that might already be too late.

You might only spot that somethings wrong, when the infestation is already severe. Sometimes termite damage is confused with water damage. Most noticeable signs of termite harm are bending wood, floor swelling and roof swelling, many small regions with “water damage” and visible tunnels in wood. Termites cause a specific smell when they infest and area.

They also generally have a food source on the ground somewhere near the infested area.
